Which campaign are you most proud of? We were challenged to come up with a web-based solution for a client that had multiple locations and divisions across the country. They needed various levels of authorization, reporting and ordering of all of their print and promotional items. Our team worked very hard to implement and roll out custom websites and production workflows that met all of the clients needs.

What was your first project? My background is in prepress (typesetting). I worked as a keyline pasteup artist on the night shift. We produced a group of suburban newspapers and your shift ended when the work was done. Spent many a night greeting the day shift when they came in.

What inspires you? I am most excited about new technologies, as our industry is constantly changing. I look back at how things were done in the past and get excited as new processes take shape.

What is your passion outside of the office? I have always enjoyed being with my family. Watching four sons play high school sports was always important to me. Watching them turn into adults is very rewarding.

What is your favorite part of the job? Deadlines. For whatever reason I love them. I cant sleep sometimes but give me a deadline and I will get it done.

How long have you been with the company? I have been working with FGS since 1990 and became a partner in 2010.

What is your role? I oversee all aspects of print production and warehousing.

What is your favorite place you’ve traveled? My wife, 4 boys and I traveled for 2 weeks throughout Europe.

Kevin VertoneExecutive Vice President

Which campaign are you most proud of?
Texas A&M banner order. We made a commitment to deliver an order on time. Due to a shipping error by the courier, the goods were going to miss the event date. Two of us jumped on a plane, went to the courier hub, picked up the banners ourselves and drove them to the event two hours ahead of time. This showed our client that we will stop at nothing to deliver a quality product on time.

What was your first project?
It’s been nearly 20 years, so it is hard to remember, but I believe it was a button order. For who…I have no idea! lol

What inspires you?
To always build the FGS brand. Making our company one of the best in our industry through hard work and great employees.

What is your passion outside of the office?
To enjoy life to its fullest. Go outside my comfort zone in order to experience things that I would not have done years ago.

What is your favorite part of the job?
Working with employees that care as much as I do and working with some of the same clients for over 10 years. This tells me that we are doing something right.

What is your favorite quote?
“The best memories come from bad decisions!”

How long have you been with the company?
I’ve been with FGS since 1998 and became a partner in 2010.

What is your role?
Executive Vice President

Which campaign are you most proud of?
I definitely feel a sense of pride in any project that contributes to our clients' success. One project that sticks out is the Winter Classic hockey game at Wrigley Field. Designing and producing banners/signage, we helped turn the iconic baseball venue into an outdoor hockey arena to celebrate the unique event!

What was your first project?
Recreating the packaging for Nutri-Pak fertilizer. Client only had previously printed packaging to go from. We had to recreate all graphics and print on special stock that would allow a plastic blister to adhere to the package.

What inspires you?
The determination of someone to accomplish their goals....not for fame or fortune, but to prove to themselves any challenge can be met.
